🏗️ Factory Clean-Out — One Big LED Screen Needs a New Home!

We’re clearing out some old gear from the Solid factory, and this indoor used LED screen has been gathering dust for years.

It’s not perfect — a few dead pixels and no spare parts available — but it’s still a decent chunk of tech if you’ve got a massive man-shed!

Specs:
🟦 P4.5 mm (indoor use only) It's a good res, but you can't sit too close.
📏 3460 × 2300 mm
🎮 HDMI input (connect a PC or set-top box)

The Deal:
- Must be a current Solid Scoreboard club member
- You’ll need to donate $1,000 to the Peter Mac Cancer Foundation (a recent receipt showing Solid noted b4 pickup)
- No returns — if you don’t use it, tip fees are on you 😅
- Pickup only: our crew will power it up, show you how it works, and help you pack it (no further unpaid Solid assistance with the screen).
- Must be able to pick it up from Carrum Downs b4 Thursday 16th Oct.

Also making its debut: the new Solid Scoreboard, delivering a stunning backdrop at Central Oval.
Purpose-built athletic software brought every moment to life, tailored perfectly for this legendary event.
Next week, the cheers roll on as FOOTY returns to Central Oval!

Big Day for Our Clubs Using the AFL PlayHQ Interface! 🏉
Today was our first major round with many clubs using the new PlayHQ scoring system – it’s looking great!

✅ Turn your scoreboard on
✅ Start scoring via the PlayHQ Scorer app
✅ Your scoreboard will automatically follow the live scores!

Depending on your screen size, you’ll see club colours, logos, alternating major sponsor displays, and the last six goal kickers. After each goal, you’ll get the goal scorer’s number, name, their total for the day, then, followed by more sponsor logos!

Well done Bacchus Marsh Football & Netball Club – your scoreboard looked great today!

⚠️ Heads up: We had quite a few scorers today who hadn't used the PlayHQ Scorer before. There was some panic, frustration, and a few calls to ditch it altogether.

We get it – change can be tough at first. But the PlayHQ system is working well once you're familiar with it. Please take the time to learn it, help each other out, and be ready before next game day.

Maybe it's just us? I think it is.
We hate seeing old scoreboard structures disappear. Together with countless memories and club history.
So many of them get demolished after being labelled "safety hazards"! Just to be replaced with 2 steel posts.
Well done City of Kingston for agreeing with the Chelsea Cricket & Footy clubs.
It scrubbed up OK too, thanks to a stack of hard work by the clubs.
I WISH we had a photo of this original Chelsea scoreboard. Anyone?
