Congratulations to Tassal on celebrating 40 years of success.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to local communities, local families and local businesses. The flow-on effects of your direct and indirect support have created opportunities, employment and economic benefits that have strengthened our region for decades.

It's also amazing to reflect on the development and transformation of the business over that time. From its early beginnings to becoming a world-leading aquaculture company, Tassal has continued to innovate, invest and evolve while maintaining strong local roots.

Well done to everyone who has been part of the journey, and here's to continued success in the years ahead.

It all started here. 💙

In the mid-1980s, a new industry was beginning to take shape in Tasmania. Young Atlantic salmon were raised in freshwater hatcheries before being transferred to sea, marking an important first step in the state’s salmon farming story.
Tassal was part of those pioneering years, with Dover playing an important role in our early salmon farming operations

Four decades later, we’re proud to look back at where our story began and the journey that has shaped Tassal Salmon today.
