Following a sell-out 2025 edition, Blak Day Out returns as part of Brisbane’s Open Season festival with an impressive 2026 line-up.
Celebrating First Nations talent, culture and community, this year’s one-dayer is headlined by Dan Sultan. The Arrente/Gurindji man is one of our nation’s most celebrated singer-songwriters, with seven NIMAs and five ARIA Awards in the trophy cabinet to prove it.
Beyond Sultan you’ve got Queensland’s chart-topping rockers Beddy Rays, Kamilaroi-Samoan future-soul, dance and R&B queen Becca Hatch, Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung indie-pop fave Jem Cassar-Daley, and Gomeroi young gun Rox Lavi.
“This event is about joy, music and community, bringing people together to experience the incredible talent of Indigenous artists across genres,” says curator and Blak Social founder Aletha Beetson.
“We’ve always had world-class artists in our communities. Blak Day Out is about creating a platform that matches that talent and energy.”
Blak Day Out takes over the Princess Theatre on Jagera Turrbal Land on Friday 24 July. Tickets are on sale now.
