Casual Employment Opportunity – Forklift Operator / HC Truck Driver
Immediate Start | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Charters Towers (Local Residents Only). Approximately 1 weeks work commencing Monday 9th June.

We are currently seeking two Plant Operators for an immediate start at our Charters Towers site. This is a casual, short-term opportunity strictly for local residents only (not FIFO or DIDO).

Position Details:
Role: Plant Operator (2 positions) One must have either forklift or HC licence.
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Approximately 8 days
Shift: 12-hour day shifts only
Experience: Experience in a processing plant is advantageous but not essential
Requirements:
Must be physically fit, reliable, and capable of working in an industrial environment
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test daily
Hourly rate between $39 - $42.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking short-term work and the opportunity to contribute to a busy operational period.

Location: Charters Towers (Local Residents Preferred)

We are currently seeking Charters Towers-based candidates for a number of casual roles during the period of 22 May to 4 June 2025. These positions are not FIFO or DIDO. Applicants must be physically fit, reliable, and available for the entire duration. Some of these positions will be required for Night Shift, others Day Shift. 12 hour rostered days. Weekend work will be required on the 31st and 1st.

Positions Available:
Plant Labourer
• Forklift Licence required
• Proven experience operating a forklift is essential

General Labourer
• No formal qualifications required
• Must be physically fit and capable of manual tasks

Quality Assurance Assistant
• No formal qualifications required
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and physically fit

Truck Operator
• Current HC Licence required
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy combination vehicles is essential

Wheel Loader Operator
• Valid Wheel Loader Ticket required
• Proven experience operating a wheel loader is essential

This is a short-term opportunity suited to candidates with a strong work ethic who are available to contribute during a critical operational window.

Positions 1 & 2: Grader Operator and Wheel Loader Operator (Komatsu WA480). Casual. Roster now until Christmas 5:2 approximately 50 hours per week.

Position 3: Control Room Operator. Casual. Roster now until Christmas 5:2 approximately 50 hours per week. SCADA experience required.

Position 4: Farmhand/Labourer. Casual. Roster 10/4 100 hours per fortnight. Work location - 330klms north of Charters Towers. We are looking for a hard working farmhand to join our team. You will be required to travel within your roster allocation (transport will be arranged), to a remote camp (accommodation provided). Position description includes, but is not limited to - fencing, checking on stock and water supplies, general farm duties & repairs, cleaning etc. Experience in a farm environment will be looked upon favourably. This position will require paperwork. Our site runs under strict safety regulations and you will be required to maintain safety rules at all times. It will be advantageous to have loader/forklift ticket. Experience and knowledge of safe practices with farm equipment (quads, tractors, buggies, pumps etc.) required.

Position 5: Quality Assurance Labourer. Charters Towers site. Casual. Roster now until Christmas 5:2 approximately 50 hours per week.

Earlier this month Agripower's Peter Tandy and Bruce Cairns attended Fertilizer Australia's Conference in Adelaide alongside over 220 other participants.

With much of the discussions centred around industry GHG reduction, and in particular emissions from nitrogen fertilisers.

It was fantastic to see industry all rising to the challenge together, and great to discuss the role Agrisilica can play in the solution through improving Nitrogen Use-Efficiency and through fertiliser co-blends.

Agripower have initiated a major Silicon fertiliser trial with trial partner Amaretto Almonds.

Following on from successful trials in 2021/22 with excellent yield responses, the trial program is being expanded with a focus on fertigating Agrisilica Liquid Silicon. The trial will measure flower counts, biomass assessments, insect assessments, nut yield and nut quality.
