AS1851 compliance is now mandatory in NSW. Is your building ready?
Since 13 February 2026, AS1851-2012 compliance has been mandatory for relevant buildings across NSW, putting greater responsibility on building owners, strata committees and building managers to ensure essential fire safety measures are properly inspected, tested and maintained.
But compliance isn’t just about having an inspection completed. You also need to know that the contractor carrying out the work is qualified, accredited, licensed and insured and that you can prove it.
