Grass trigger plant (Stylidium graminifolium) Common in the South East of our marvellous continent.
It’s flower has a fused Stamen and Style that has trigger pollination mechanism where it snaps down on the back of insects that are attracted to its pretty flowers. It’s also considered to be carnivorous due its its sticky trichomes under the flower. What an awesome plant! Plant them En-masse and imagine how great your yard would look come springtime.

Solanum laciniatum (Kangaroo Apple) common around South East Australia. This attractive shrub grows super fast! Which makes it perfect for fast temporary screening while other plants are establishing. It will provide lush emerald green leaves that resemble the paw of a Kangaroo and stunning violet flowers that will make way for tomato like fruit that is edible when soft and orange. Not commonly found in commercial nurseries
Kangaroo Apples can sometimes be purchased in indigenous nurseries or are very easy to grow from the seeds of its ripe fruit. They are short lived, lasting around 5 to 6 years in the wild, however with regular pruning and a bit of care it's life span can be extended.
