And this is coming from someone that studied fashion in college and university....😅👇🏼

I find that once people leave school they think they can learn everything they need to in college or university. And don’t get me wrong, you do learn about the fashion industry but there are SO many details that you don’t learn.😕

I learnt everything I knew from building my own successful fashion brand and then helping multiple other brands do the same thing.🫶🏼

Fashion school unfortunately never teaches you all the nitty gritty details about supplier relationships, sourcing, production process, development process, pricing, and design packs. 🤦🏻‍♀️

A lot of the time you’re taught an overview but not actually whats in entailed creating a brand from beginning to end.👀

This is where I come in.💪🏼

I am actually launching my first lot of ebooks next month to help people understand the fundamentals of launching a brand. I like to share every little detail! 🥹

It's important you get what you want out of your factories. This is your biz at the end of the day...👏🏼

First of all, I talk A LOT! Detailed chats about EVERYTHING.😅

I also like to set my expectations straight. I'm super clear on what I expect the finishing product to be.
Setting realistic timelines with your factories is key.💪🏼

We're pretty much bestfriends. I do spend time visiting my factories to ensure we're on the same page.🤝🏼

We bargain but fairly. Pricing talks happen often and I recommend you do the same.💸

Quality checks are a biggie for me. High quality finishes only. ✨

This client has overcome A LOT in the last couple of months of working together.🥹

I managed to solve their brand identity crisis.👏🏼

I gave them a clear strategy on what needs to be implemented inline with their goals so their lack of direction vanished! 👏🏼

I was able to work with them on their budget constraints and find manufacturers aligned with their budget but also desired quality.👏🏼

I also taught them every tiny detail they need to know when it comes to developing a clothing brand.👏🏼

It's been an incredible experience working for this brand and I've loved watching their designs slowly come to life!🤍

A MOMENT FOR THE DRESS! 🔥

Yes, I did make a dress for Kourtney Kardashian. No I did not get to meet the icon herself.🥲

I guess the pinch me moment here is this dress was hand crafted by myself simply following a design presented by Julien Macdonalds himself.👏🏼

It was a lot of late nights which required immense precision and attention to detail.✍🏼

I physically threaded every bead on to this stunning design and it's definitely a moment I will remember forever.🤍

I can honestly say I learnt so much from this experience and gained a new level of appreciation when it comes to design. ✨

When I look back,I still kind of can't believe I made that dress for such a HUGE celebrity.😍

This is a reminder to give yourself a pat on the back for any small or big win you've achieved in business. You deserve it.🫶🏼

5 things you need to look out for when working with a manufacturer! 👀

🖤No accreditations potentially means they're not ethical or sustainable.

🖤Refusing to sign an NDA just harms your protection. It potentially means they could use your creations else where. You don't want this!

🖤If they're not willing to share details of their production process or factory conditions, RUN! Something shady is going on.

🖤Promising you quick turn arounds at low costs means poor quality. Remember that!

🖤No tech packs!? Well we'd fall out. But no tech packs means your manufacturer is guessing everything, including your budget.

Anyway, I took the time to look into how she went around launching her new product that is now popping up EVERYWHERE.😳

The timing of this launch not only gave her insane amounts of traffic but it actually saved her a few pennies too.💰

So Kim K cleverly launched the ultimate ni**le bra on the back of her new Skims Mens collection. But wait, what do the 2 have in common?🤔

Nothing.🤣

Now the Skims Mens campaign had TONS of traffic from men AND women so it meant when the campaign came out for the new ni**le bra, tons of her audience were already right infront of her.👏🏼

Yes, women were literally commenting on the campaign like, *Kim k knows what we want to see*🫣

Also, she didn't have to pay 1 celeb to advertise her ni**le bra because of the huge amounts of traffic the Mens Skims collection had already brought her.😏

The Kardashians make millions from good and bad press. If you know you know.😅

This new product has a lot of polarising opinions but as long as you're talking about the brand, the brand is essentially making money. So remember if no one feels anything towards your brand, the brand dies.😖

Not quite a sprinkle of magic, more like a lot of strategic planning and thinking but nevertheless, the struggles did vanish!✨

This is exactly how I helped my Loungewear Client go from identity crisis to strategic brand positioning...👇🏼

🤍Firstly, they had no idea how to position themselves in the market but also differentiate themselves from competitors.
It was time I stepped in to carry out a thorough market analysis and competitor research. The goal was to identify the gaps and opportunities.
I also highlightedtheir unique strengths and values.

🤍Sometimes you need a second pair of eyes to analyse it all for you!

🤍My client also had budget constraints but because I have the BIGGEST directory of suppliers and manufacturers, I was able to find them the perfect manufacturers aligned with their budget but also quality.
