This summer, we had the pleasure of boarding Captain Gerasimo and Captain Dimitri’s Odysseia.
//
Photos [as nice as they are] do not do the blue of these seas justice - I have never seen waters like it.
//
Captain Gerasimo and Captain Dimitri are so knowledgable and the most gracious of hosts - their wisdom, understanding [of man, land and sea] and passion had us smiling ear to ear.
//
I loved Captain Gerasimo’s take on many things, but my favourite was his on the zembekiko [a Greek dance known as the dance of the soul].
//
“There are no steps to the zembekiko and it annoys me when I see it taught as such. It is a dance that can only be felt. The feeling comes from the earth below and travels upwards, through your feet and into your heart, consuming you in full. After which, you have no choice but open yourself up and soar like an eagle.”

Spent the weekend in Victoria’s High Country on a boys trip with the family.

Found some native eucalyptus and gum which we will be turning into tinctures [my latest obsession] for use in our perfume workshops and fragrances.
