1000 Degrees Glass Studios is an exciting creative space for artists & designers to realise their concepts in glass. The studios/art space offers makers the rare opportunity to have their own studio space within a working studio glass environment. It enables artists to
practice their arts’ businesses with direct access to studio equipment. There are up to five resident artists based at 1000 Degree

s at any one time
creating a vibrant and supportive creative collective. All areas of the studios are open to casual users whether it be a kiln firing,
space for a photo shoot or an hour or more of cold working. The studios are situated on the fringe of industrial Moorabbin within close
proximity to kiln forming suppliers, hot shops, manufacturers and hardware
stores.

1000 Degrees Glass Studios were established by Bethany Wheeler in March of 2013. Starting with a 230sqm empty shell & with the help of friends and family, Bethany built five artist’s spaces, a kiln forming area and a project/gallery space. In August 2014 a purpose built cold working and wax/mould making workshop was added. Current Studio Artists are

Jennifer Ashley King

& Lindy McSwan

Previous Studio Artists include
