To celebrate NAIDOC Week, we've put together a list of Aboriginal Storytime videos in Auslan for you to watch on YouTube and ABC Education.

These wonderful stories are shared by Deadly First Nations Deaf storytellers, bringing Aboriginal stories to life through Auslan. They provide a fun and engaging way for children and families to enjoy storytelling while learning about First Nations cultures, languages, and traditions.

Deaf Aboriginal Services (DAS) Community Research Survey

DAS is conducting a short community survey to learn more about Aboriginal and Deaf cultural awareness, inclusion, accessibility, and representation.

26 May marks National Sorry Day, a time to acknowledge the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to remember the Stolen Generations and the ongoing impact of those policies. A few years ago, my father was one of the Stolen Generations. He didn’t even know until he received a formal apology letter from the government, a moment that completely shattered him and that something I would never forget !!! Hearing his story breaks my heart, and it always will. Today, on National Sorry Day, I honour his pain, his strength, and the resilience of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families affected by these injustices. 🖤💛❤️

Off to tonight’s DI interpreting job for the First Nations Dreamtime event Richmond vs Essendon 🖤💛❤️

The annual Dreamtime at the ‘G match kicks off tonight at 7:45pm, with gates opening from 5:30pm. Looking forward to the pre-match cultural performances, The Long Walk and the iconic Dreamtime ceremony before the first bounce. Such a powerful night celebrating First Nations culture, community and footy. Hope to see you all there!
