❗️NEW NATIONAL RECORD❗️

What a week it’s been here at Upper Western Livestock & Land. A cracking ram sale on Monday followed by the outstanding consignments from Canonbar Pastoral Co and the Ticehurst Family of “Welbury” on AuctionsPlus coming home with a new Australian Record high price.

We told you they’d be good!
The Canonbar Ewes selling to three different buyers all making $445.

The Canonbar team had once held the record highest price for white Dorper ewes with their last offering in 2020 on the platform. It’s been a long time between offerings and the demand was HOT! 🔥

The Ticehurst family presented one of the best drafts of ewes we’ve seen in a long time to be offered commercially. They now hold the National Record for highest price White Dorper Ewe Hogget on AuctionsPlus. Congratulations to Craig and Molly, a massive achievement.

📢 Canonbar will be bringing to the market in the coming weeks, a line of their classed in Tier 1 matrons, scanned in Lamb. Stay turned for more info.

📢 The Ticehurst family will be offering a draft of their Canonbar blood White Dorper Ewe Lambs on Tuesday the 15th of September.

❗️Culgoa UltraWhite Report.

A cracking spring day, combined with a great draft of well presented industry leading UltraWhites, set the scene for the annual Culgoa UltraWhite spring ram sale at the Nyngan Showgound.

Culgoa presented 51 rams selling all 51 offered. Rams went back to both new and return purchasers in three states as well as being well supported by the selling agent’s clients securing a heavy percentage of the catalogue.

This year, buyers took note and actively sought the extraordinary growth figures though metrics such as BW, WWT, and PWT along with CWT irrespective of phenotype through the catalogue, an aspect the Wood family have heavily focused on.

🐑 Top Price - $6,500
🐑 Average - $2,656.

⭐️ Top Price - Lot 7 $6500 sold to Kennedy Family Pastoral Co
⭐️ Second top - $6000 sold to The Curran Family of Longreach.
