The results from the Mothers’ and Young People’s Survey by Murdoch Children’s Research Institute looked into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on maternal health and wellbeing are in.

Fascinating research.

“Once again, women will be the losers if men are more likely to work in the office and managers retain a bias towards in-office workers as being higher performing (despite the research showing that full time remote workers are 5% more likely to be high performing than full time in-office workers) then men are more likely to be rewarded at the expense of women - widening the gender pay gap. As their title says, we need more men to speak up. That means providing men with the opportunity to deeply explore the source of sexist beliefs and behaviours in our culture and the impact those behaviours have on self, colleagues and loved ones.” (Credit: Amanda Webb).

We need more men to speak up against sexism. Here’s how. Posting strong opinions on a networking platform like Linkedin is typically frowned upon. Truth be told, it’s why I find the professional networking platform a tad uninspiring. Until recently.
