This year, GeoLINK celebrates 35 years in business. Since 1991, we've grown from a small consultancy into a multidisciplinary team providing engineering, planning, design and environmental services across NSW. But while a lot has changed over 35 years, our commitment to quality work, strong client relationships, practical solutions and positive environmental outcomes has remained.

Most importantly, this milestone is about the people who have been part of the GeoLINK journey, including our team, our clients and the communities we work with. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our story over the past 35 years. We're proud of where we've come from and excited about what's ahead.

It's all part of our commitment to ensure we continue delivering high-quality environmental auditing services, provide trusted advice and keep up with industry standards.

Bringing our three offices together for a company day is always a highlight of the year. Last week, our team came together in the beautiful Yamba region to reflect on our achievements, discuss future strategy, and strengthen the connections that make our business what it is.

From productive conversations and planning sessions to enjoying the natural surroundings and sharing a meal together, it was a valuable opportunity to reconnect. Investing time to collaborate, learn from one another, and celebrate as a team is important and helps to build a strong culture to deliver the best outcomes for our clients. A great day with an even greater team.

An additional 500m section of the Urunga Boardwalk has recently been opened for the community to enjoy, including two new breakout areas. Works on the south arm section are continuing, while fabrication for the final stage is now underway.

GeoLINK is proud to have supported this important project through the preparation of the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) and specialist environmental and cultural heritage assessments, helping to protect the unique surrounding environment while delivering this valued community asset.

We look forward to seeing the full project come to life for the Urunga community and visitors alike.

Last week, our Directors attended an industry seminar hosted by the Planning Institute of Australia in Armidale. The session focused on Renewable Energy Zones and explored how planning plays a critical role in balancing infrastructure, environmental outcomes and community needs.

Opportunities like this allow our team to stay at the forefront of industry knowledge, ensuring we continue to deliver informed, practical and proactive advice to our clients. By continuing to build our knowledge, we’re better prepared to navigate complex planning challenges and deliver practical outcomes for our clients and their communities.

This bird’s-eye view of our recent Coffs Harbour Tree Planting Day at Boambee Headland shows more than just our crew hard at work. It also shows the progress made from our efforts over the past five years.

In partnership with Coffs Harbour Regional Landcare, the initiative has grown into something impactful, helping to restore and protect this beautiful coastal space. We’re proud to be part of this restoration project that’s making a real difference.
