GeoLINK’s Environmental Science and Engineering team recently completed the Independent Environmental Audit for the Larvotto Hillgrove Mine in August. Covering an area of 254 km², the Hillgrove Mine is set to become Australia’s largest antimony producer, with forecast production expected to supply about 7% of global demand. We were pleased to see the project reach another significant milestone, with the official reopening ceremony and recommencement of mineral production taking place in September.

Works are underway on the exciting new district-level playground at Park Beach Reserve, Coffs Harbour. Designed as an inclusive and engaging space, the new playground will feature climbing and slide towers, swings, nature and sensory play, water play, shade areas and more. The community had an important role in shaping the design, with more than 800 people providing feedback and voting on the concept.

We were pleased to support the City of Coffs Harbour on the project by providing planning advice and preparing the Review of Environmental Factors (REF), helping the project progress through the planning and environmental assessment process. It’s great to see the project becoming a reality, and we look forward to seeing it completed over the coming months.

Today marks the opening of the new M1 Pacific Motorway extension to Raymond Terrace, a 15 km connection that will improve travel times, freight movements and connectivity across the Hunter.

GeoLINK has been proud to play a part in this significant project, providing Environmental Auditing services throughout its delivery. Our role has involved helping ensure environmental requirements were met throughout construction, working with the project team to ensure the environmental risks were managed accordingly. It’s been a complex project with some impressive engineering, including the 2.6 km Hunter River viaduct.

Congratulations to everyone involved in getting this important piece of infrastructure open ahead of schedule.

Since 1991, we've grown from a small consultancy into a multidisciplinary team providing engineering, planning, design and environmental services across NSW. But while a lot has changed over 35 years, our commitment to quality work, strong client relationships, practical solutions and positive environmental outcomes has remained.

Most importantly, this milestone is about the people who have been part of the GeoLINK journey, including our team, our clients and the communities we work with. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our story over the past 35 years. We're proud of where we've come from and excited about what's ahead.
