Examining Gender Equality from a Christian Perspective
Ideas such as “A girl belongs to another family” or “Women must remain under men’s authority” are not merely traditional beliefs. When embedded in families, education, churches, and communities, they can limit women’s voices, opportunities, and rights.
This article examines gender equality in Myanmar communities through the lens of my personal experiences. It also explores:
The meaning of “helper” (ezer) in the Book of Genesis;
The biblical teaching that both women and men are created in the image of God;
The meaning of being “one in Christ” in Galatians 3:28;
The ministry and leadership of women mentioned in Romans 16; and
The practical responsibilities of families, churches, schools, and communities in advancing gender equality in Myanmar.
Supported by citations, the article argues that gender equality is not merely a women’s issue. It is a matter of human dignity, justice, and Christian witness.

ဒီဆောင်းပါးဟာ ခရစ်ယာန်ဓမ္မပညာရှင်များ၊ လူမှုရေးသုတေသီများ၊ အမျိုးသမီးအခွင့်အရေးလှုပ်ရှားသူများနှင့် တရားမျှတသော လူမှုအသိုက်အဝန်းကို တည်ဆောက်လိုသူများအတွက် ဆွေးနွေးစရာအချက်များ ပေးနိုင်မယ်လို့ မျှော်လင့်ပါတယ်။ သုံးသပ်ချက်ဆောင်းပါး အပြည့်အစုံကို ဖတ်ရှုလိုတယ် ဆိုရင် DM ပို့ပေးပါ။
