There has been an increase of scams lately so it's very important to be vigilant when encoutering them. Scams are getting more and more sophisticated.

The three steps to protecting yourself from scams are:
1. 🛑 STOP - Don't give any money or personal information to anyone you're unsure of.
2. 👀 CHECK - Ask yourself could the call, message or email be fake?
3. 🔒 PROTECT - Act quickly as possible if you feel something is wrong.

You should never feel the pressure to do something. Take your time, slow down and double-check. The Scamwatch website can be used to report scams, check for recent scam alerts and get helpful information on how to recover if you have been targeted.
