Why Are Custom Cakes Better Than Shop Bought?
I see a lot of posts from bakers about why custom cakes are better and what makes them worth the money, and they all make very relevant statements.
To me, what I think is the most important piece of information for you the buyer is Time & Love. You get so much more from a custom cake maker than you ever would from a chain store. You may never know the true hours your baker actually spent on your cake. How many times they scrapped the decoration they made from scratch and started over because it wasn't the best it could be. The deep seated dread we feel as we wait for your response after sending you a picture of your completed cake, hoping you will love it as much as the love we put into it. We are all just a little bit of a perfectionist and always our own worst critic. Yes our cakes may be a bit more expensive, and sometimes there may be a mistake or an imperfection. But know that your baker wants you to love your cake and put 120% into that little piece of perfection. And remember there's never going to be a cake like yours, it truly is one of a kind.
