A project we have been working on for over a year with a wonderful not-for-profit organisation was launched today. The team at IDRS were very happy with their new look website; achieving their objectives of merging 4 wesbites into 1, having a fresh new look, easy navigation for visitors and an 'easy read' section for their clients.

The Intellectual Disability Rights Service (IDRS) is a specialist legal advocacy service for people with intellectual disability in New South Wales. We work with and for people with intellectual disability to exercise and advance their rights.

Employment at $0.60 per hour is simply

MilkcrateConsulting was asked to do a photoshoot today for a disability advocacy service.

A group of their clients want to run an online campaign fighting for equal rights and equal pay for people with disability. I was honoured to be apart of such a great cause but at the same time totally shocked to learn about their employment terms, conditions and wages.

The photo's turned out great but then with amazing models what else would you expect.

training is hard work! A significant number of hours goes into preparing, at the end of each day you are mentally exhausted, every night you need to reflect on the day and continually research and reassess your approach for the following day often up until midnight.

Each time I facilitate training I think to myself why?

Whilst the humble milkcrate is over 100 years old milkcrateConsulting CELEBRATES 1 YEAR - a tiny milestone in comparison but for us it is a big event.

On our first birthday it is time to stop and recognise all the great brands that have supported our success. So a big shout out to all the brands pictured...we hope to continue supporting your business objectives into year two and beyond.

Have you heard of Ability Links NSW?

A FREE service available to people with a disbility, aged 0 to 64 years, PLUS their carers and families!

Today I am lucky enough to be at their 2017 Linker Gathering; curently listening to stories of people with a disability going from places of isolation and hopelessness to self-employment, driving licences, independanace and a positive attitude of endless posibilities.

INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY RIGHTS SERVICE, a small advocacy group that helps over 600 people a year with intellectual or cognitive disabilities navigate the police and court systems.

HUMBLED is an understatement in regards to how I felt meeting with this team last week. I am excited to be starting work on their Marketing Plan Implementation in the next few weeks!

Hundreds of vulnerable people with intellectual disabilities could face prison time as the future of a diversionary support service hangs in the balance with the state government refusing to commit to funding it and other disability advocacy organisations.
