Did you know your dishwasher uses less water than hand-washing? A standard dishwasher uses approximately 7 litres of water whereas filling the sink to do the dishes is about 40 litres. There is no need to pre-rinse dishes before you put them in the dishwasher – if your plates are coming out dirty, your appliance may need a service or repair.
