The arrival of Coosa Composite Board at MarineWare is truly exciting. Coosa Board is a composite panel solution for transoms, stringers, bulkheads, decks, hatches, rod holders and more.

Being a composite of closed-cell foam & fibreglass, it has excellent rigidity & reliability. It will not rot, swell, or delaminate when exposed to water. 30-60% lighter than plywood, it drastically reduces weight & potentially fuel consumption.

It has excellent screw retention and insulation properties up to 2-3 times greater than plywood. You can drill it, shape it, cut it, paint it – but you can’t beat it. Remember to always wear a mask.

Coosa Composite Board comes in two constructions. Bluewater 26 features a high-density, closed-cell polyurethane foam core heavily reinforced with woven roving and continuous strand fibreglass for demanding applications.

Bluewater 20 is manufactured from high-density, closed-cell polyurethane foam reinforced with continuous strand fiberglass for less-structural & non-structural use.

MARINE TECHNOLOGY IN SPORT

When cyclists competed at the Velodrome at Glasgow Commonwealth Games, some of the biggest names in composites were on display.
