From 1 October 2026, businesses will no longer be able to pass on card surcharges for Visa, Mastercard, eftpos and American Express.

But here’s the important part 👇
💳 Your payment processing fees aren't disappearing.
You’ll still have costs associated with accepting card payments — you just won’t be able to add a separate card surcharge to your customer’s bill.

✔️ Speak with your EFTPOS/payment provider
