I notice that there is currently a rather charming typo, that caught my eye. Instead of the Job title Business Partner, the typo is Sunniness Partner! As the Isle of Wight has the most number of hours of sunshine in the Uk this was a lovely error!

In yesterday’s Spending Review chancellor Rishi Sunak told the House of Commons that the government will accept a recommendation from the Low Pay Commission to increase the National Living Wage (NLW) next year by 2.2%, to £8.91 per hour.

Its all change again! JOB SUPPORT SCHEME

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced a further amendment to the Job Support Scheme, which is due to begin on 1 November 2020.

When originally announced, the JSS required employees to work a minimum of 33% of their normal hours. This has now been reduced to 20%, meaning that employees working as little as one day a week are now eligible for the scheme.

Additionally, the employer contribution to the ‘unworked’ hours has been significantly reduced from 33% to just 5%.

It appears that criteria for the £1,000 Job Retention Bonus has been widen to include employees on the Job Support Scheme.
