This week we applied our Howard Park “house recipe” compost to the Cabernet vines at our Leston vineyard.

The compost is made from recycled winery by-products, including grape skins, seeds and stems left over from the winemaking process. Rather than leaving these valuable materials as waste, we return them to the vineyard where they help build healthier soils.

Adding compost increases soil carbon, supports beneficial fungi, bacteria and microbes, improves soil structure and water-holding capacity, and ultimately promotes stronger, healthier vines.

It’s a simple example of a circular approach to viticulture - returning nutrients back to where they originated.

It is with great excitement that we can reveal we have been awarded another GOLD for our sparkling wines. This time it's for Petit Jeté at the National Wine Show of Australia.⁠

The National Wine Show of Australia is generally considered one of the most rigorous and respected wine shows in the country. Why? Because you are only allowed to enter wines that have already won medals at qualifying regional and city shows. ⁠
⁠
A gold medal here is no small feat - and places Howard Park's Petit Jeté among the best sparkling wines in Australia. It also brings our annual tally to 5 gold medals and 2 trophies for our Jeté Methodé Traditionelle collection. ⁠
