The new changes to the NSW Government pet registry website and some of the regulations have a few dog and cat overs scratching their heads.
As it stands now, you need to sign into the pet registry using your SERVICES NSW account and then are taken to the (what use to be the pet registry website) for all your account details and to transfer your puppies or kittens when you sell them.
You can also be come a Recognised breeder by registering.
To qualify as a recognised breeder in NSW, you must be a member of a recognised breeders’ organisation like Dogs NSW or others listed.
Some rumours are that the changes will lead to that part being taken out and just anyone who wants to sell their puppies/kittens can just register; as you agree to certain conditions when applying to be a recognised breeder similar to organisations. but who knows
SOUTHPOINT GSP is a recognised breeder on there and we also support anyone who cares for the welfare of their pets.
you own your pets either be it dogs cats horses or goats and have the right to breed them if you wish.
Just make good choices when doing so whether joined up to an organisation or not.

Non-Compliance of Regulations Relating to Dogs – Central West Police District

On Sunday the 24th of May this year, police stopped a vehicle on the Lachlan Valley Way near Lake Cargelligo in relation to manner of driving. Subsequent inquiries by police revealed three hunting dogs on the vehicle which were not registered. Additionally, one of the dogs was not micro-chipped. The owner was issued with infringement notices in respect to these offences and other related offences.

Police ask you to ensure your dogs are registered and micro-chipped and that your are complying with regulations in respect to responsible handling of your dogs.
