Severe Weather Warning for DAMAGING WINDS for people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Lower South East and parts of Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts.

Damaging winds associated with an intensifying low pressure system.
Weather Situation: A low pressure system west of Kangaroo Island is intensifying and moving rapidly southeastwards, to be located south of the Victorian border around midnight and south of Tasmania Monday afternoon. An associated front extending north from the low is expected to reach a line near Adelaide to Clare to Roxby Downs late Sunday evening and move through the eastern parts of the agricultural area early Monday.
DAMAGING north to northwesterly winds, averaging 50 to 65 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h are forecast in the warning area today, ahead of the front.
DAMAGING west to southwesterly winds, averaging 50 to 65 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h are forecast today and early Monday just west of the front.These winds are then expected to re-develop about the West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Northwest Pastoral, Northeast Pastoral, Flinders, Mid-North and Riverland districts on Monday afternoon.
Coastal locations and elevated areas are particularly vulnerable to these winds as the low progresses.
Severe thunderstorms are also expected and may further enhance the risk of Severe wind gusts. A separate Severe Thunderstorm Warning is current.
Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Mount Gambier, Ceduna, Port Pirie, Clare, Maitland, Murray Bridge, Kingscote, Roxby Downs and Leigh Creek.
Port Lincoln recorded a wind gust of 100 km/h at 2.39 pm
Cleve recorded a wind gust of 93 km/h at 2.29 pm.
Higher gusts have been recorded today associated with thunderstorms (see Sev TS Warning).
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 11:00 pm ACDT Sunday.
