Introducing Luna Residences, Glen Waverley.

Krneta are excited to be working alongside the broader consultant and construction team as Relevant Building Surveyor for Luna Residences - a contemporary apartment development bringing a refined mix of architecture, lifestyle and amenity to one of Melbourne’s most established eastern precincts.

Designed by Ewert Leaf, the project will deliver 69 premium apartments and penthouses across five levels, complemented by landscaped communal areas, rooftop spaces, wellness facilities and coworking zones. With its soft architectural forms and carefully considered resident amenities, Luna is already shaping up to be a standout addition to the area.

Since our appointment last year, the project has continued to build momentum through a staged delivery approach, with multiple permit stages already facilitated to support ongoing construction works onsite. With structure now beginning to rise above ground, it’s great to see the development starting to properly take shape.

Looking forward to continuing to support the team as works progress throughout 2026.

PROJECT COMPLETION | Heathmont Childcare

Big projects are one thing. Creating a place that helps shape the first five years of little personalities is something else entirely.

Recently reaching completion, Heathmont Childcare is now ready to open its doors following issue of the Occupancy Permit last month.

This project came together as a significant three storey early learning development designed to support children across every stage of early education, from nursery through to kindergarten (0-5 years), catering for more than 150 children.

Spanning three levels with integrated ground floor car parking, the development incorporates extensive outdoor play environments extending across upper levels and podium spaces below. Multi-level landscaped areas, shade sail structures and purpose-built play spaces have been carefully integrated throughout to create an engaging environment tailored to every stage of early learning and development. And while there are plenty of standout features across the project, the life-sized blue Beetle tucked into the landscape for kids to climb into, sit behind the wheel and let their imaginations run wild might quietly end up becoming the favourite.

Great to once again collaborate with Point Architects and Carelli Constructions. Having delivered a number of childcare projects together over the years, it’s always rewarding seeing another one progress from plans on paper through to a completed space ready for families and children to enjoy.

Operated by Village Early Education, the facility is now set to begin its next chapter.

Built for the little years that shape the big ones.

NCC 2025 is now live in Victoria.

From today, Victorian projects move into the next edition of the National Construction Code, bringing a range of updates that will shape design, documentation and approvals across the industry.

For project teams, the key focus is not just what has changed, but how those changes apply to timing, transitional arrangements and projects already underway.

At Krneta, we are already working through the practical implications with clients, consultants and builders to help keep projects moving with clear and commercially minded advice.

For projects outside Victoria, adoption timing remains jurisdiction specific, so it is important to confirm the applicable code edition based on location and project status.

Since joining Krneta in late 2024, Elaine has wasted absolutely no time making herself known in the best possible way. Smart, dependable, switched on, and always calm under pressure, she has quickly become one of those people everyone enjoys working with and everyone’s happy to have on their project.

Elaine has built a strong niche across fitout and refurbishment work, where things move quickly, details matter, and there’s usually a few moving pieces to juggle at once. She takes it all in stride, keeps things organised, and has a way of making the tricky parts feel far less tricky. The kind of operator who gets on with it without needing to make a song and dance about it.

Outside of work, Elaine is just as competitive, particularly when a badminton racquet is involved. With the Corporate Games on the horizon, don’t be surprised if Elaine features prominently in Krneta colours this year. We like our chances.

Another one at Flinders Lane.

Another tenancy delivered within this heritage building. Working within an existing asset like this always brings a few moving parts, tying into what’s already there, working around the building’s quirks, and making sure everything lands as it should on site.

We’ve now had a hand across multiple fitouts here, supporting different clients and teams, which gives a clear understanding of how the building behaves when it comes to delivery.

PROJECT COMPLETION | Halcyon Evergreen Clubhouse, Clyde

Another great community project across the line.
The Halcyon Evergreen Clubhouse in Clyde is now complete, delivering a premium lifestyle and recreation hub within Stockland’s Evergreen community.

Krneta was pleased to act as Relevant Building Surveyor on the project, working with DC8 Studio and Jardon Group to bring this impressive facility to life.

Designed as the social centre of the community, the clubhouse brings together a wide range of wellness, recreation and social spaces including a swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room, gymnasium, treatment room and hair salon, library and multipurpose rooms, along with pickleball courts, a lawn bowls green and landscaped outdoor areas.

A great outcome for the Evergreen residents and a fantastic example of community focused design.

Kolorer College has officially opened its doors, delivering a major new education facility to Melbourne’s rapidly growing west.

The project comprises a multi-building campus including a three-storey Building A and a two-storey Administration Building, linked by an enclosed bridge connection that forms the central spine of the school. This connection not only unifies the built form but creates a clear, legible movement network for students and staff across the site.

Complementing the learning environments is a standalone Community Hub, designed to operate beyond school hours and support local sporting and community use. This dual-purpose approach ensures the precinct remains active and valuable to the broader Cobblebank community well outside the school day.

From early coordination through to completion, the delivery of the campus reflects a strong focus on buildability, compliance and long-term functionality, with spaces designed to evolve alongside future enrolment growth.

Krneta are proud to have supported the realisation of this important piece of community infrastructure and congratulate the wider project team on bringing the vision to life.

Great to see Hydro Tasmania’s Melbourne workplace on Collins Street come to life following last year’s handover.

Krneta Building Surveyors acted as Relevant Building Surveyor for the delivery of this project, continuing our involvement across numerous fitouts within the building over time. Having supported multiple tenancies here, we’ve developed a strong familiarity with the asset and value the ongoing relationship with GPT as building owner.

The project comprises just under 2,000 sqm of contemporary office space designed to support flexible, activity based working, complemented by an uplift to the Level 9 external terrace. Positioned to the south of the building, the terrace is set up to capture impressive views across the Yarra River corridor and toward Crown, adding a strong connection to the surrounding cityscape.

Working alongside the broader consultant and delivery team, including Hot Black and Amicus, it is always rewarding to help deliver another considered workplace outcome within a building we know so well.
