From an empty tenancy to a new health and fitness space in Mitcham.

Krneta was pleased to work alongside the project team for the new BUMP Health and Fitness location at 630 Mitcham Road.

With an existing design in place, our role focused on the building approval and compliance requirements necessary to support the change of use and subsequent fitout of the 500sqm space.

The completed facility now incorporates a barre studio and open gym floor, ready to welcome the BUMP community.

PROJECT | Adairs, Chadstone

Taking another look at the impressive Adairs Retail Group head office and creative studio at Chadstone.

Spanning two levels of the new One Middle Road tower, the head office brings the Adairs team together through a central breakout space, high-end finishes, bespoke joinery and a striking feature stair.

The nearby creative studio was purpose-built for flexibility, incorporating a cyclorama wall, lighting rig and engineered mezzanine.

Krneta was pleased to provide building surveying services across both projects, working collaboratively the project team to support their delivery within a live environment.

A decade of Jacob at Krneta! 🎉

This month marks a pretty special milestone, 10 years since Jacob Ravenhall joined Krneta!

As Krneta’s very first employee, Jacob joined the business as an Associate right at the beginning. Now Associate Director, he’s been part of just about every chapter of the Krneta story along the way.

And what a decade it’s been.

From those early days through to the business Krneta is today, Jacob has played an important role in helping shape how we work and how we’ve grown. He’s helped establish and continues to oversee Krneta’s Integrated Management System and ISO certification, played a part in shaping the systems and processes behind the way we do things, supported the expansion of our services and capabilities, and helped the business navigate the constantly evolving world of building surveying.

One of the most rewarding parts of those 10 years has also been watching the team grow. Jacob has mentored and supported many of our younger staff along the way, helping them develop their knowledge, confidence and careers, with plenty of them going on to achieve some pretty special milestones of their own.

Of course, it hasn’t all been systems, projects and building regulations. Jacob has also helped shape the culture that has grown with Krneta. Always up for a laugh, always willing to help the team out and never too far away when there’s a curly technical question to work through.

His contribution to the office soundtrack has been slightly more divisive. Thankfully, getting his own Sonos might just be one of the best things that’s happened to the rest of the office over the past decade.

A lot has changed in 10 years. The team has grown, the projects have grown, we’ve moved offices, expanded into new states and consumed an unreasonable amount of coffee along the way, with more than a few whiskies thrown into the mix.

From employee number one to 10 years at Krneta, it’s been quite the ride.

Congratulations Jacob on an incredible decade with Krneta. Here’s to the next 10 years, and everything still to come!

Maranatha College Childcare | Endeavour Hills

The new Early Learning Centre at Maranatha Christian School in Endeavour Hills continues Krneta’s longstanding involvement across a number of projects at the school. Designed by CO.OP Studio, the facility creates a contemporary and welcoming learning environment, thoughtfully integrated within the established campus and its landscaped setting. The purpose-built centre brings together flexible learning and activity spaces, dedicated amenities and outdoor play areas, with a strong connection between the internal learning environments and surrounding landscape to support a modern approach to early childhood education.

Project: 530 Little Collins Street, Melbourne

A closer look at one of the commercial projects we’ve had the opportunity to work on.

Our team provided building surveying services across separate façade and lobby upgrade projects at 530 Little Collins Street, delivering enhancements to both the Little Collins Street frontage and the rear laneway interface.

The upgrades have helped create a more connected ground floor experience, seamlessly linking the front and rear entrances while improving pedestrian movement through the building. Complemented by the activation of the ground floor café spaces, the result is an inviting thoroughfare that encourages people to move through, pause and enjoy the space.

The rear façade works also introduced a covered outdoor terrace adjoining the café, further enhancing the building’s laneway activation and creating an enjoyable destination to grab a coffee or catch up with colleagues.

It’s always rewarding to work alongside project teams delivering thoughtful upgrades that enhance the functionality, accessibility and experience of Melbourne’s commercial buildings.

Some projects are just as impressive at completion as they were on the drawing board.

Earlier this year, Krneta was proud to issue the Occupancy Permit for Eden. Seeing the completed home now - with every detail realised and the landscaping beginning to establish - is a great reminder of what can be achieved through a shared commitment to quality.

From concept through to completion, projects of this calibre are the product of collaboration between dedicated consultants, skilled trades and an engaged client team.

We’re incredibly proud to announce the promotion of Bekir Capar to the newly created role of Principal Building Surveyor at Krneta.

Since joining the business as a Cadet Building Surveyor in 2020, Bekir has embraced every challenge, continually developing his technical knowledge, leadership skills and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. Over the past six years, we’ve watched him grow into an outstanding Building Surveyor whose professionalism, reliability and work ethic have earned the respect of clients, consultants and the entire Krneta team.

This promotion recognises not only Bekir’s individual achievements, but also the important role he’ll play in the next chapter of our business. As Principal Building Surveyor, Bekir will help lead the technical and regulatory direction of Krneta nationally, providing oversight across compliance, quality assurance, regulatory processes and the ongoing development of the systems that support our growing team.

One of the things we’re most proud of at Krneta is seeing our people build long-term careers with us. Watching someone progress from Cadet to Principal Building Surveyor is exactly what that commitment is all about. Introducing Luna Residences, Glen Waverley.

Krneta are excited to be working alongside the broader consultant and construction team as Relevant Building Surveyor for Luna Residences - a contemporary apartment development bringing a refined mix of architecture, lifestyle and amenity to one of Melbourne’s most established eastern precincts.

Designed by Ewert Leaf, the project will deliver 69 premium apartments and penthouses across five levels, complemented by landscaped communal areas, rooftop spaces, wellness facilities and coworking zones. With its soft architectural forms and carefully considered resident amenities, Luna is already shaping up to be a standout addition to the area.

Since our appointment last year, the project has continued to build momentum through a staged delivery approach, with multiple permit stages already facilitated to support ongoing construction works onsite. With structure now beginning to rise above ground, it’s great to see the development starting to properly take shape.

Looking forward to continuing to support the team as works progress throughout 2026.

PROJECT COMPLETION | Heathmont Childcare

Big projects are one thing. Creating a place that helps shape the first five years of little personalities is something else entirely.

Recently reaching completion, Heathmont Childcare is now ready to open its doors following issue of the Occupancy Permit last month.

This project came together as a significant three storey early learning development designed to support children across every stage of early education, from nursery through to kindergarten (0-5 years), catering for more than 150 children.

Spanning three levels with integrated ground floor car parking, the development incorporates extensive outdoor play environments extending across upper levels and podium spaces below. Multi-level landscaped areas, shade sail structures and purpose-built play spaces have been carefully integrated throughout to create an engaging environment tailored to every stage of early learning and development. And while there are plenty of standout features across the project, the life-sized blue Beetle tucked into the landscape for kids to climb into, sit behind the wheel and let their imaginations run wild might quietly end up becoming the favourite.

Great to once again collaborate with Point Architects and Carelli Constructions. Having delivered a number of childcare projects together over the years, it’s always rewarding seeing another one progress from plans on paper through to a completed space ready for families and children to enjoy.

Operated by Village Early Education, the facility is now set to begin its next chapter.

Since joining Krneta in late 2024, Elaine has wasted absolutely no time making herself known in the best possible way. Smart, dependable, switched on, and always calm under pressure, she has quickly become one of those people everyone enjoys working with and everyone’s happy to have on their project.

Elaine has built a strong niche across fitout and refurbishment work, where things move quickly, details matter, and there’s usually a few moving pieces to juggle at once. She takes it all in stride, keeps things organised, and has a way of making the tricky parts feel far less tricky. The kind of operator who gets on with it without needing to make a song and dance about it.

Outside of work, Elaine is just as competitive, particularly when a badminton racquet is involved. With the Corporate Games on the horizon, don’t be surprised if Elaine features prominently in Krneta colours this year. We like our chances.

Elaine brings great energy to the team, and we’re very glad she’s on our side.
