On Wednesday 18 November, our third QLD ASIAL Security Industry Breakfast Briefing for 2026 will be held at Hillstone St Lucia, Brisbane.

Des Lacy OAM, Head of Security (Venues and Villages), Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, will the overall security arrangements for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With 40 years of policing and major event experience, Des brings a wealth of knowledge to this significant undertaking. Shane Donovan, Executive Director of the Industrial Relations directorate of the Office of Industrial Relations, will discuss issues relating to compliance with the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 and the laws within that impose obligations and compliance in relation to workers, and Kim Heironymus, Education Manager, AustralianSuper, will provide an update on superannuation, covering key developments, industry trends and relevant information.
