Her hot water died at 6pm on a Sunday. ๐Ÿšฟ

"The moment this product is actually for.

Not when someone is browsing. Not when they're in a buying mindset. At 6pm on a Sunday when something has broken and there is a small, urgent problem to solve.

In that moment nobody opens a search engine and evaluates options. They reach for whatever is closest to hand and known. Which, in most Australian houses, is a fridge door.

That's why trades, emergency services and anything with an urgent-callout model over-index on this format. Not because it's persuasive โ€” because it's *present* at the exact moment the need appears, which is the one thing you cannot buy with targeting.

When does your customer need you most urgently? ๐Ÿ‘‡"

She got three quotes in March. In September she could only find one number. โ˜Ž๏ธ

"A small story about how buying decisions actually happen.

She gathered three quotes in autumn. Compared them properly. Then the project got deferred, as projects do, and six months passed.

When it came back to life she didn't reopen the spreadsheet. She didn't search her inbox. She looked at the fridge, where one of those three suppliers had left something behind, and she rang that number.

The other two quotes weren't worse. They were just gone.

This is the entire argument for physical, kept marketing in one situation, not that it persuades better, but that it survives the gap between interest and action. And in most B2B categories, that gap is measured in months.

How long is the gap between enquiry and order in your business? ๐Ÿ‘‡"

Real estate agencies have worked this out. Most other industries haven't. ๐Ÿ

"Property is the one industry that has fully understood this product, and it's worth borrowing from regardless of what you sell.

An agent's problem is timing. The person who'll sell in eighteen months isn't ready to talk today, and no amount of contact changes that. So the winning move isn't persuasion โ€” it's being findable at the exact moment the decision finally happens.

A magnet solves that better than anything digital, because eighteen months of emails get unsubscribed and eighteen months of retargeting gets blocked. The magnet just sits there being unobjectionable until the day it's needed.

Now apply that to your business. Who are your customers who'll buy eventually but not now? That's the list this product was built for.

Which industry should we break down next? ๐Ÿ‘‡"

Q4 starts today. Somewhere a marketing budget just reset. ๐Ÿ“Š

"New financial quarter. Somewhere in your business, a budget just reset and someone is deciding where it goes.

Here's a question worth asking before it's allocated: which line item from last quarter is still working right now?

The digital spend stopped the day it stopped. The print run was read once. The event was a good day for the people who came.

The magnets you ordered in March are still on fridges. They were on fridges through the whole quarter, in the one room every household walks through twenty times a day, and they'll still be there next Christmas.

We're not saying replace your digital spend. We're saying almost nobody has a line item that keeps working after the invoice is paid and this is one.

What's the longest-working thing in your marketing budget? ๐Ÿ‘‡"

The honest Q4 calendar. Print capacity in this country runs out in November. ๐Ÿ“…

"Nobody in print enjoys telling a customer in late November that the job they need before Christmas isn't going to happen. So here's the honest version, in September, while there's still time to do something about it.

September and early October: normal lead times. You want a custom die cut, a big run, a specific stock - no problem.

Late October: the calendar and diary season starts. Everyone who wants 2027 calendar magnets, term planners or year planners lands at once.

November: Christmas mailouts, end-of-year gifts, awards nights and the January campaigns that people have suddenly realised they need. This is where the queue forms.

December: shutdown dates start landing across the whole supply chain - not just us, but stock, freight and everyone else.

If you know you need something in Q4, the cheapest and calmest version of that conversation is the one we have this month.

What's on your Q4 list? Tell us and we'll tell you when to book it ๐Ÿ‘‡"

The best-performing magnets aren't ads. They're tools. ๐Ÿงฐ

"Here's the pattern behind every magnet that lasts five years on a fridge: it does a job the household actually needs done.

The oven temperature conversion chart, because half the recipes online are in Fahrenheit. The bin night calendar, because nobody can remember whether it's recycling this week. The shopping list pad. The kids' medication dosage-by-weight guide, which every parent of a small child has looked at in a panic at 2am. The choking and CPR steps. The tide chart. The school term dates.

None of those are advertising. Every one of them has a logo and a phone number on it, and every one of them gets kept for years, because throwing it out would make the household's life measurably worse.

That's the brief. Don't ask what you want to say. Ask what problem your customer has in their kitchen, and solve that.

What useful magnet does your household rely on? ๐Ÿ‘‡"

We pulled twelve months of order data. Australia has a favourite magnet shape and it's not what we expected. ๐Ÿ“Š

"We run 2000+ shapes. Here's what actually got ordered over the last twelve months.

1. Rectangle with rounded corners. Boring, undefeated, and the safest 30 cents you'll ever spend.
2. The house. Real estate, mortgage brokers, builders, removalists - anyone whose customer is thinking about a roof.
3. The truck. Transport, removalists, mobile trades, waste, towing.
4. The tooth. Yes, really. Dental is one of the most consistent repeat categories in the country and dentists order like clockwork every twelve months.
5. The circle. Cafรฉs, gyms, community groups, anything with a logo that's already round.

What this tells you: shape does a lot of the work before anyone reads a word. A house-shaped magnet has already said ""property"" from across the kitchen.

What shape would your business be? Tell us and we'll tell you if we've already got the die ๐Ÿ‘‡"

"Business cards get thrown out. Fridge magnets get kept - right where your customer stands 20 times a day.

Groomers, vets, plumbers, aircon techs, water refilling stations, laundry shops: put your logo and number on a magnet and stay in front of them all year.
