Sorry everyone, for all the posts, but I have a couple more awards:

Australia Day Award from Ashfield Council for "Outstanding Community Services", in 2014.

Plus, I was a nominee for the NSW Volunteer of the Year Award, this year.

Both of the above were as a result of my volunteer JP services staffing a JP desk at Ashfield library twice a month on Saturday mornings, for many years.

I am also a volunteer with the Red Cross Emergency Services. I have been activated for floods, fires and was even activated on the night of the Lindt Cafe siege in 2014. I have staffed evacuation centres and the Police Public Information & Inquiry Centre (PIIC), Welfare Call Centre helping to provide information to the public.

Working with the Red Cross has been very rewarding. I have worked with many dedicated volunteers and have been humbled to assist people in crisis.

This is it! This will be the last post bragging about myself!

I am also honoured, this year, to have been awarded the National Trust's Cathy Donnelly award for "Outstanding Female Heritage Professional.

I am honoured to be awarded, just this month, Lifetime Membership of the Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologist (AACAI) for my long-standing service as a full member of AACAI and contribution to the broader archaeological consulting world. The citation reads:

"We are delighted to welcome Dr Jillian Comber as a new Life Member of the Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists Incorporated.

Jillian was a very early and long-term member and promoter of AACAI. Throughout her long career based primarily in NSW, she has embodied professionalism, and has worked tirelessly to support communities and colleagues.

Jillian has been a dedicated mentor to many young archaeologists, and strongly supported the Flinders University graduate archaeology program. In recent years she also commenced a unique Indigenous traineeship program, affording Indigenous students a salary while studying and the opportunity to work for Comber Consulting in university breaks in order to develop both formal qualifications and practice experience in Cultural Heritage Management.

Jillian worked widely across both Indigenous and historical archaeology, and is an extremely well deserving recipient of Life Membership to AACAI 👏 👏 👏"

It's been too long since I posted anything, so I decided the end of the year was a good time to post and to skite about our awards. For the last three years we have received the Australian Enterprise Awards "Best Cultural Heritage Specialists", and were again successful this year.

In 2022 we received Corporate Vision's Small Business Award and also in 2022 we were the Australian Global 100 Winner.

I'm on a roll and the next post will be about my personal awards.

First Nations people must work until they're 67 before getting the pension, just like white people. But we have a much lower life expectancy.
