Permanent Part-Time Position - Data Entry Champion/Bookkeeping Role

Business Konnect is a successful, well-established Bookkeeping and Business Consulting company based in Currambine, North of the River. In addition to bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting software services, we offer clients comprehensive consulting advice and services needed to gain the edge within their industry.
Who are we looking for?
Someone who is trustworthy, helpful, enthusiastic, has a great attitude and a good sense of humour (you will need it), can juggle lots of balls in the air at any one time (multi-tasking abilities are required!) and someone who enjoys working in a small “family like” environment rather than a large corporation.
We want someone whom we can make a long-term investment in and who has a stable work history, an eye for attention to detail, is efficient, uses their own initiative, and can process work quickly as we have many deadlines to meet. You will need to be able to work well independently at times, but also enjoys working closely with our friendly staff. We are also looking for someone who can continually build a positive rapport with our fantastic clients. Work alongside an inspiring and energetic team who are committed in helping you to also develop your own skills, through on-the-job training, coaching and other learning opportunities.
Additional information about the role:
Guaranteed 21hrs per week - 3 days (8.30am – 3.30pm) Tues/Wed and Friday plus additional days and hours as and when required.
The role is varied, involves data entry (lots of it so you must enjoy data entry processing), bookkeeping (you must have a general understanding of bookkeeping terminology as we have a lot of knowledge to share with you), administrative and general office duties (we are a small office, so we all pitch in and help one another when required). Payroll is also on the list as we provide payroll services to many of our clients.
Because of our wonderfully diverse and ever growing client base, your responsibilities will also include assistance in the preparation of monthly/quarterly BAS preparation, superannuation and PAYG requirements, year end preparation including Taxable Payment Annual reports, Single Touch Payroll finalisation reporting, annual Payroll Tax reconciliations, just to name a few of those exciting compliance tasks that need to be done!!
Qualifications/Experience Required
- No less than 3 years data entry/bookkeeping experience
- Proficient experience with MYOB (no less than 3 years), and/or Xero would also be advantageous but not essential.
