Fresh off the Press!!! This work in progress showcases how during the design process we can clearly convey our design intent to our developer clients for detailed feedback to guide the design direction.

DCM Building Design takes great pride in redefining townhouse developments now and moving towards a new future where infill development becomes a necessity to address affordable living and the housing crisis we have found ourselves in. Creating a desirable statement piece for these residences whilst keeping the developments economically viable and on point with regards to budget is what matters most. Amelia Villas

Affordable housing never looked so good!

DCM in close collaboration with is proud to present our recently completed 9 Villa Development in Maroochydore. With a keen focus on maximising living areas in these efficient 2 and 3 bed townhouses, we were able to showcase that budget driven products can be delivered with finesse and smart planning. Delivering a home for the end user that is both desirable and liveable close to the CBD was achieved in spades. Well done to our broader team on delivering an awesome outcome!

Wheatsheaf, Geelong

Our recently completed design in Geelong Victoria is turning heads. Expressing gable roofs and robust/natural materials to be the signature of this facade. Combining this approach with a lighter interior palette and expressing the roof lines inside the home gives the interior a distinct connection to the outdoors.

One of our most recently completed homes now handed over to our clients! Wheatsheaf is a Contemporary spin on a farmhouse. Located in Geelong, Victoria this project presents a classic look utilising natural timbers, stone and bagged brick in combination with feature Gable roofs and a refined specification to the interiors. We absolutely loved being part of another design in the southern states where we have different environmental issues and constraints to resolve in contrast to our projects in SEQ. Great work and congratulations to on a fantastic build!

Elysian on Bradman
What a thrill it is to see this Premium Unit Complex overlooking the Maroochy River finally coming out of the ground! On a highly constrained site, achieving a workable basement design whilst addressing the Flood Levels that Bradman is renowned for proved challenging. But in consultation with our Town Planners, Sunshine Coast Council and the broader consultancy team, we were able to achieve a great outcome. All the best to Timit Building with the build! A big thankyou to our project team for all your assistance on this exciting waterfront unit development. 25 Grigor Street, Moffat Beach
One of our favourite beach shacks ever!!!! Collaborating closely with our client / mate Jon, we set out to deliver a truly unique home on a highly constrained site of just 405m2. With a brief to make the structural elements of the home the "Hero" of the design, we set about exposing all of the structural blocks internally and externally along with the suspended slabs to give this home it's identity. With passive design principles and the use of thermal massing elements within the home, we were able to deliver an energy efficient and comfortable house to live in all year round. We were able to experiment with the colour palette and deliver a fusion of Beach Home combined with Modern Industrial architecture. What has resulted is something we are very proud of! Congratulations to Jonny and the amazing Meuleners family on their new home. What a build mate, tip of the hat to you for taking it on. A special mention to Brooke from Team DCM for her efforts on this one and a big shout out to the blockies &block for their tradesmanship on this project.

Delivering the Concept! From Vision to Construction
Building is progressing well on our Flagship house design on the Marina in Pelican Waters. Collaborating closely with the builder and our consultancy team has been critical for smooth sailing onsite. Formwork and Steelies fixing on site. Will be ready to pour the First Floor Deck in the coming weeks.

If South East Queensland is to grow sustainably, building designers must champion smarter density—working closely with planners, developers, and councils to deliver infill townhouses that are affordable to build, beautiful to live in, and respectful of existing neighbourhoods. These projects aren’t just about housing numbers; they’re about giving more Queenslanders access to a quality home in the places they love for a feasible price point.

DCM Building Design is focusing on this mode of development as a priority moving forward for our multi residential projects in 2026 and beyond with an extensive catalogue of villa and townhouse designs to call on for efficient and timely site yield studies and feasibility reviews for our developer clients.

Affordable townhouses, well-designed and well-placed, can become the foundation of a more inclusive, resilient, and liveable SEQ and minimize the need for urban sprawl that limits the effectiveness of infrastructure and transport. We are actively designing these modes of development from the Gold Coast, Brisbane greater region, Sunshine Coast all the way up to Fraser Coast. Buddina Villas - DA Approved and Construction scheduled to begin.

DCM Building Design had the pleasure of teaming up with .sparkes and to deliver design, planning and engineering on this premium 4 level triplex offering in the blue chip beachside suburb of Buddina!

We are ecstatic with the finished design. Congrats and thankyou again to our client Cal who's vision for the property truly showcases what a desirable medium density development can look like in premium locations on the Sunshine Coast!
