A very interesting coaching week. The recurring theme has been the power of beliefs.
The way we talk to ourselves (self talk) becomes thoughts.
Thoughts accumulate to become BELIEFS. Once you get a belief you act in accordance with that belief, whether it’s true or false!
So, we are constantly building our own beliefs with our own thoughts.
In this way we create who we are. This is how it happens WHETHER WE ARE DELIBERATE OR JUST ALLOWING OTHERS TO DEFINE US!!

What should you do now you know this?

Begin applying these principles with the firm intention of replacing your old identity with an identity of your own choosing!
Get your journal and make a list of all your negative self talk - you know, all those things you say to yourself about yourself when you’re by yourself!
Next think about who you really choose to be. Then start creating a list of positive affirmations and commit to reading these aloud to yourself every day.
Finally, give yourself permission to agree with your new identity.

Attempting to change your life without changing your beliefs is almost certain to end in disappointment. And the most powerful beliefs are the ones relating to your identity. Your identity is what you say to yourself, about yourself, when you're by yourself.

Change what you tell yourself from negative to positive and all other change becomes easier.

Business owners, the Fair Work Commission has decided the National Minimum Wage will increase on 1st July by 3.75%, rising to $24.10 per hour and $915.84 per week for a 38-hour week. This increase will also apply to all classification levels across the 121 Modern Awards.
With wage theft becoming a criminal offence in less than six months, ensuring compliance with the National Employment Standards, awards, or enterprise agreements is now much more critical. Ignorance is no defence, so if you have any doubts now is the time to get professional help to check you're paying the correct award and correct level or classification.

When did you last ask your bank for a reduction to your interest rate? I just had a case where a bank reduced the clients interest by almost 1%.

When we are making decisions it's a combination of emotion and logic.
In the words of American psychologist, Jonathan Haidt, ‘The emotional tail wags the rational dog.’
The best decisions result when we combine both emotion and logic. Emotion should work in partnership with rational thought. Otherwise our emotions can lead us into quick but ineffective decisions and actions.
