At TMB Printing, it’s not just machines and ink — it’s people who care about quality. Our director, Darren Materne, brings over 30 years of industry experience, guiding the team with a focus on precision, creativity, and customer satisfaction. Darren's vision is simple: ensure every client feels confident that their brand is represented perfectly on paper and that anything less than perfect is just not good enough.

Darren’s interest in printing began in his early years in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, where he worked as a print-hand specialising in wine bottle labels. When a later paper-advertised opportunity came up for an apprenticeship at TMB Printing in Victoria, Darren packed up and moved to take on the challenge. Now 30 years later and owner of TMB, his level of perfection and reliability is non-negotiable, a personal mission that flows through to the same repeat clients that he has assisted for his entire print career.

When he is not managing the production at TMB, outside of work, Darren is a dedicated dad to two young children, a vintage wine collector, community minded with sponsorships and a loyal supporter of the Adelaide Crows.

Supplying your own print files? Read this before you hit “send.”

Most printing issues don’t happen on the press.
They happen before the file even gets there.
If you’re sending artwork to print, these 5 things matter more than you think:
🔹Design in CMYK, not RGB
🔹Include 3mm bleed on all sides (minimum)
🔹Use high resolution images
🔹Outline or embed fonts
🔹Make sure the file size matches the finished size

Getting these right once can save:
▪️delays
▪️reprints
▪️unexpected costs

And if you’re unsure, ask your printer before sending the file.
