Food deserves to make the whole journey.

Before it reaches us, someone has grown it, made it, packed it, stored it and moved it. By the time it reaches the table, a lot of value is already there.

Today, on the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, we join the Australasian Institute of Packaging and the wider food and packaging community in recognising the role thoughtful packaging can play in helping protect that value.

From monitoring temperature through the cold chain, to keeping products protected between uses and making more of what we buy easier to access, packaging can make a practical contribution.

In our latest article, we look at that role through ThermoShield, EzyLug and Honey Squeeze.

The best ending is simple: the food gets eaten.

One Honey Squeeze Pack. Three areas of packaging design recognised at PIDA 2026.

For us, the result is particularly meaningful because recovery, usability and food performance were never separate jobs.

The bottle has to empty well. The closure has to dispense honey cleanly. The valve has to control the flow. And the materials still need somewhere to go when the pack is finished.

Seeing those different parts of the design recognised together made this a very special result for the team.
