Duties and Responsibilities include
-Safety of all staff
-Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies, vision, and budget.
-Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
-Strive for continuous improvement within our operational capabilities
-Set and plan picking slots and ensure efficient space utilisation
-Initiate and coordinate optimal operational policies and procedures
-Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
-Maintain standards of health and safety, good housekeeping, and security
-Manage stock control and reconcile with a data storage system and Stock Controllers
-Input in preparing annual budgets
-Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies where and when necessary.
-Plan work rosters, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
-Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
-Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)
-Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided – Survey Monkey
What you will need to succeed in this role:
-Prior experience in warehouse management
-Excellent communication, team leading and staff management skills
-Wholesale to retailer experience is preferable but not required
-Previous experience in supplying to remote and interstate locations via differing forms of transport is preferable but not required
-Proven ability to think independently, solve problems and multi-task
-Proven ability to think on your feet and prioritise
-Ability to organise and control workflow
-Forklift, Stock Picker or MR License
-Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office
