🔔 Recent Project Spotlight - Paste Plant Geotechnical Investigation 🔔

Geotech Australia recently completed a detailed drilling and geotechnical investigation for a proposed paste plant project in the Goldfields region for another valued long-term client.

The investigation included drilling, sampling and Standard Pe*******on Testing (SPT) to assess subsurface conditions and provide critical geotechnical data to support the design and construction of the facility.

Through field investigations, laboratory testing and engineering assessment, the project delivered important insights relating to:

🔔 Recent Project Spotlight - Derby Oval Lighting Upgrade 🔔

Last week, the Geotech Ground Engineering team - part of Geotech Australia - travelled to Derby, WA to undertake a geotechnical investigation for the Derby Oval Lighting Upgrade project.

The investigation was carried out to provide critical footing design recommendations to support the proposed infrastructure works and included:
✔️ Borehole drilling
✔️ Geological logging
✔️ Pe*******on testing
✔️ Laboratory testing

The collected data will help assess foundation requirements and ensure the proposed lighting infrastructure is supported by safe and suitable footing designs tailored to local ground conditions.

Early start (4.30am) for a concrete pour underway at the Goldfields Art Centre for our client: Boord Constructions.

When it comes to concrete, timing is everything. Our team was on site bright and early to ensure testing and quality control were carried out at the right time, helping keep the pour on track and up to standard.

It’s all part of delivering reliable data and supporting projects from the ground up.

The Geotech Australia team recently conducted plate load testing for our client, Boord Constructions.

Plate load testing is used to assess the bearing capacity of the ground - essentially measuring how much load the soil can safely support. By applying controlled pressure through a steel plate and monitoring settlement, we’re able to provide accurate data to guide foundation design and ensure the ground performs as required.

It’s critical information that helps engineers and contractors make confident decisions on site.
