WE’RE LOOKING FOR A CELLAR DOOR LEGEND

Do you know your Pinot from your Gris?
Can you pour w**e, chat to strangers and keep your cool when Saturday turns into WHERE DID ALL THESE PEOPLE COME FROM? 😂

We’re looking for a casual cellar door team member to join us at Meander Valley Vineyard.

Friendly, switched-on, good with people and ideally a little bit w**e-curious. Hospitality experience is a bonus — a good sense of humour is probably essential.

The important bit:
👉 You MUST be available during the day on Saturdays.
👉 You MUST have a current RSA.
Additional shifts available.

You’ll be pouring w**e, chatting to guests, helping keep things humming and embracing the fact that there’s no such thing as a quiet weekend.

We’re a small family business, so we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of the team — not just clock in and clock out.

Good w**e. Good people. Beautiful surroundings.

FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY…
We took a giant leap into the unknown.

We left behind the life we knew, figured things out as we went, and slowly built a life that feels like ours.

A new brand.
A new cellar door.
New glamping accommodation.
A vineyard, a business and more projects than we can count.

Jade went from trains, suits and spreadsheets to tractors, work boots and vines, learning just about everything from scratch. He has worked harder than I could put into words — quietly, consistently and always putting our family first.

He has been our hardworking, dedicated, protective rock. 💛

And then there’s me… 😂

The one with far too many ideas, big plans, endless enthusiasm and an inability to leave anything alone because surely it could be just a little bit better.

Somehow, between the two of us, we’ve made it work.

This journey has never been just about the business. It has been about creating a home, raising our kids in a place we love, taking chances, learning as we go and building a life we once only dreamed about.

We feel incredibly lucky to live in such a peaceful part of the world. The beauty, quiet and slower pace are easy to take for granted, but we appreciate them more every day.

There have been plenty of challenges, along with moments of doubt and exhaustion. But there have also been countless moments that made the hard days worth it — especially seeing an idea slowly become something real.

I’m proud of what we’ve built, but even prouder of the life around it.

To our family, friends, customers, staff, locals, guests and everyone who has supported us along the way — whether you bought a bottle, stayed with us, visited the cellar door, shared a meal or simply believed in what we were doing — thank you.

You’ve been part of this story, and your support means more than you probably realise.

Five years in, we’re looking back with a lot of gratitude.

So much has changed.
So much has been learned.
So much is still to come.

My humans are taking the w**e on the road, so the Cellar Door will be closed 2–5 July.

If you’re looking for us this week, you’ll find us at the Island Escape Festival in Launceston (I’ll be supervising from afar, of course).

We’ll be back in the Cellar Door from Thursday 9 July, ready for w**e, pizza, and plenty of tail wags.
