INTRODUCING OUR SPEAKERS - DAY 1 and DAY 2
We've got two jam packed days of the Kimberley Economic Forum brings together an incredible line-up of speakers and leaders from across government, industry, business and Aboriginal organisations to explore this year’s theme of Collaboration, Country and Culture.
🔹 Session 1 – Collaboration and Leadership
This session brings together voices from across the Kimberley and beyond to discuss how genuine collaboration can create a stronger, more connected region. Through conversations around cultural grounding, regional leadership, policy and innovation, speakers will highlight the importance of partnerships in driving regional development, economic opportunity and community wellbeing.
🔹 Session 2 – Country, Connection and Future Planning
Focusing on the relationship between people, place and the future of the Kimberley, this session explores how connection to Country, evidence-based planning and sustainable development can shape stronger outcomes for our communities and industries. Speakers will share perspectives from regional planning, investment, traditional owner stewardship and economic development.
🔹 Session 3 – Culture, Creativity and Enterprise
Celebrating the creativity and innovation of the Kimberley, Session 3 showcases leaders transforming cultural knowledge, storytelling and identity into thriving enterprises. From tourism and bush foods to language revitalisation, consultancy and digital storytelling, speakers will explore how Aboriginal-led innovation is creating jobs, strengthening culture and driving economic growth across the region.
🔹 Session 4 – Mining, Resources and Regional Opportunity
Session 4 explores the critical role the mining and resources sector plays in shaping the Kimberley’s economic future. Bringing together industry leaders, government representatives and regional stakeholders, the discussion will focus on balancing economic growth with community outcomes, environmental responsibility and long-term regional benefit.
