Dear friends of TasmaNet,

From the close of business Wednesday the 22nd of December, until start of business Monday the 10th January, the TasmaNet Group offices will be closed for the Christmas-New Year period.

Support staff will continue to operate during normal business hours during that time, however order processing and service delivery may be delayed due to Carrier Embargoes and our own closure.

Data Centre access will be available during business days only throughout this period and will need to be scheduled / booked in 24 hours in advance.

On Friday the Board and major shareholders of TasmaNet entered into an agreement under which Field Solutions Group (ASX:FSG) will acquire 100% of TasmaNet.

FSG is an ASX-listed company whose history, ethos and now future, is very closely aligned to our own. As TasmaNet has learned more about FSG and its unique position within the National marketplace, our board, shareholders and staff have realised that a combination of the two companies makes a great deal of sense for ourselves and for our combined customers and partners.

Field Solutions is adding more regional network to accelerate its growth as the 4th Mobile Network operator in Australia and is adding more capability and capacity to better service customers in key sectors like government, agri-business, mining, and resources.

We’re excited to be joining Field Solutions Group and look forward to being part of the growing team.
