The ACT Urban Forest Act came into effect on 1 January 2024, driving Canberra towards a greener and more resilient future. The Act aligns with the canopy objectives outlined in the ACT Urban Forest Strategy 2021-2045, to achieve 30 percent canopy cover or equivalent by 2045.

Understanding the requirements of the ACT Urban Forest Act is essential for professionals in the construction and development industry.
