Winner at the Good Design Awards 🏆

Earlier this month, the NCD Pulse was recognised with an award at the Australian Good Design Awards - one of the most prestigious awards of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region.

Designed in collaboration with our friends at - the NCD Pulse is our third consecutive award we’ve won with Nucleus Coffee Tools at the Good Design Awards, following the Paragon (2023) and Paragon Espresso (2024).

Awarded in the ‘Product Design: Homewares and Objects’ category, the judges shared their thoughts on the NCD Pulse:

“[The NCD Pulse is] a great product for professionals and enthusiasts that demonstrates clear innovation based on research in a well designed, intuitive and robust package. An inspiring project that raises the bar.”

After more than 13 years of bringing high-energy fun to families across Australia, Flip Out has revealed its first-ever rebrand and we’re proud to have been part of the journey!

Our goal? To take everything people know and love about Flip Out and give it a bold, modern identity that captures the energy, excitement, and playful spirit of the brand.

From a refreshed logo and vibrant colour palette to dynamic graphic elements, this new look reflects Flip Out’s evolution while staying true to its roots as the ultimate trampoline playground.

The NCD Pulse is now available globally! Another successful design collaboration with – this project pushed us technically, but after two years of development, we’re thrilled with the results.

The NCD Pulse, the latest evolution of the Nucleus Coffee Distributor (NCD), introduces Pulse Vibration technology to enhance the even density of coffee grounds in a portafilter, elevating consistency and extraction. Its wireless operation, powered by an induction charging base, ensures seamless integration into any workflow.⚡☕

Formswell delivered the holistic product design of the NCD Pulse, covering everything from the physical product to the integration of hardware and UI, as well as the final packaging and support materials for launch.
