🇫🇷 1955 Citroën Traction Avant 'Commerciale', the world's first hatchback? 🇫🇷

According to automotive historians, yes! This long-wheelbase 'Commerciale' swapped the boot for a lift-up tailgate and folding rear seat, built for tradespeople and farmers, decades ahead of its time.

Of the ~760,000 Traction Avant saloons built, Commerciale numbers were tiny and this UK-built 1955 example is the only one we've seen here.
