What does using AI as a business owner actually look like?

Yesterday was one of those days where business and life completely overlapped.

AI helped me prioritise my day, draft an invoice, reply to a lovely workshop attendee, think through my schedule, make decisions faster and keep me focused while I prepared the house for Dad's arrival, picked him up from the airport and still finished the day around the dinner table with family.

AI didn't vacuum the house.
AI didn't drive to the airport.
AI didn't make my lunch.

I did all of that.

What AI did do was become my thinking partner.

It reduced the mental load so I could spend more time doing the things that only I could do.

And here's another way I used AI...

I was so busy living yesterday that I forgot to take photos.

Rather than having no story to tell, I used AI to create this fun illustration of what the day actually looked like.

It's not pretending to be a photograph.

It's a visual representation of a very real day.

To me, that's where AI is at its best.

Not replacing authenticity.

Helping us communicate it.

I've been a little quiet on social media lately...

Not because I've disappeared—but because I've been busy building.

Over the past few months I've been refining my business, developing new programs, running workshops, speaking at libraries, attending events and helping small business owners use AI in practical ways to save time and work more efficiently.

Like many business owners, I've also been balancing, family and life, catching up with friends, building new resources for clients, planning out the remainder of the year and social media just ended up taking a back seat.

The good news is... I'm back.

Over the coming weeks I'll be sharing practical tips, simple business strategies and AI tools to help aspiring business owners and side hustlers move from "I've got an idea" to "I've actually started."

I'm also looking forward to presenting my Side Hustle workshop at Lalor Library this Tuesday evening.
