I first came across Venetian Plaster finish on a flight I was on from Melbourne to Brisbane in 2009, I meet a applicator who disclosed that he lived in Richmond Melbourne and was doing a project and won a contract roughly five thousand square metres in size in Brisbane, at the time the going rates were between $130 - $200 per Sqm to supply and apply, as you can imagine, one can make quite a considerable income with only a few applicators in your crew. It has a few different names with only minor differences.

Sometimes the only real solution is removal and replacement with new. This angle being next to a shower was constantly wet, effected by steam and humidity, it was so badly effected by rust & out, the only way to the metals cancer was to put in a new angle and patch and repair the plaster work and repaint it. As you’ll see in these few videos that’s exactly what was done 👍This fixed the issue and gave another 30 years of new life.

I love these old homes, with their VJ boards, horse hair ceilings, plaster mouldings & cavity windows. It’s amazing how the feel of them changes once their painted, from specific old smell 👃 to clean fresh crip paint smell. The look on an owner’s face once they are painted never gets old 😎👌🔥🙌,
