I’m currently reading Get Rich, Lucky Bitch and one of the exercises really stuck with me - writing down all the things you’ll do when you’re rich. Sounds fun, right? But here’s the kicker… you don’t just dream about it, you actually start doing some of those things now. 💡💡💡

For me, when I’m rich, I’ll have time to bake every week. So, instead of waiting for “someday,” I decided to make it happen now. Over the last three weeks, I’ve carved out time to bake, and let me tell you - it feels good. Even on the busiest weeks, I grab a roll of cookie dough, chuck it in the oven, and enjoy the simple pleasure of a warm, fresh-baked treat. (Let’s be honest, the hardest part is fighting the plastic packaging! 🤣)

It’s not about spending a fortune or making huge changes overnight. It’s about upgrading your life in small ways that make you feel like the wealthy, thriving version of yourself right now.

Heres my latest, lemon and raspberry cupcakes with cream-cheese frosting, it’s not perfect but damn it tastes good!

So, what’s one thing on your “when I’m rich” list that you can start doing today?

Every small business has a story. And behind so many of them, you’ll find a woman who decided to bet on herself - who turned an idea into something real, something tangible, something that provides for her family and creates an impact in her community.

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating those women. The ones who dream big, work hard, and refuse to let anything - doubt, fear, or outdated expectations - hold them back.

The Women Who Said “Why Not Me?”

For every woman who has ever started a business, there was likely a moment of hesitation.

Maybe it was after years in a corporate job that left her feeling uninspired. Maybe it was in between school drop-offs and bedtime routines, when she realised she wanted to build something that gave her both purpose and flexibility. Or maybe it was out of necessity - turning a passion into an income because the traditional workforce wasn’t built to support her circumstances.

Whatever the spark was, she took it and ran with it.

She learned how to juggle invoices and marketing. How to show up online when she wasn’t sure what to say. How to navigate growth, challenges, and the constant balance between being a business owner, a mother, a partner, a leader, a friend.

And she’s still going.

The Reality of Women in Business

Women-run small businesses are one of the fastest-growing segments in the economy, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Women entrepreneurs often face more barriers - less access to funding, balancing responsibilities at home, and fighting against outdated narratives that say success looks a certain way.

And yet, here we are.

Building, leading, adapting. Creating businesses that reflect our values, our skills, and our ambition. Supporting one another. Changing industries. Shaping the future.

Lifting Each Other as We Rise

If there’s one thing women in business have proven time and time again, it’s that when one of us wins, we all win.

The power of mentorship, collaboration, and community can’t be overstated. Whether it’s sharing advice in a Facebook group, sending a referral to another woman in business, or simply reminding someone that they can do this!

So, today, let’s celebrate.

Let’s celebrate the women who dared to start. The women who are in the middle of figuring it all out. The women who lift others up along the way.

If you’re a woman running a small business, take a moment today to recognise how far you’ve come. You are an example of what’s possible.

Tag a woman in business who inspires you, and let’s celebrate the impact we’re making - together.

Your website should be your hardest-working employee… but do you even have one?

Running a business is full on. Between delivering your services, keeping up with clients, and juggling everything else, getting a website sorted can feel like just another overwhelming task on the to-do list. And let’s be honest—the thought of building and maintaining a website can feel confusing, time-consuming, or just too techy. Maybe you’ve put it off because it seems complicated, expensive, or you’re not sure where to start.

Maybe you’re thinking, Do I even need a website? My business runs fine on social media and word-of-mouth. But here’s the thing—social media is a borrowed asset. If Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok disappeared tomorrow, how would you reach your audience? A website isn’t just an online business card—it’s your home base. It’s where potential clients can learn about what you do, see your offers, and, most importantly, join your email list so you can stay connected no matter what happens to social platforms.

And it’s not just about having a website—it’s about having one that works for you. A well-optimised website attracts new clients, captures leads, builds credibility, and even automates parts of your sales process—all while you’re busy doing what you do best.

So tell me, what’s been holding you back from getting a website?

Still Thinking About a Website? Let’s Make It Happen!

You know you should have a website. You’ve probably thought about it a dozen times, maybe even looked at DIY options or asked around for recommendations. But somehow… it keeps getting pushed to the bottom of your list.

I get it. The process can feel overwhelming. Where do you start? What pages do you need? What if it ends up being more complicated than you thought?

But here’s the truth - your business needs a home online. Social media is great, but it’s rented space. A website is yours. It gives you credibility, makes it easy for people to find you, works 24/7 to bring in new clients, and helps you grow your email list - so you’re not relying on algorithms to reach your audience.

Here’s how I make it simple for you:
✔ You tell me about your business, you give me your brand kit, some images/ graphics - no tech jargon, no overwhelm.
✔ I design and build a clean, professional 5 page website that fits your brand.
✔ You walk away with a fully functional, easy-to-use website that helps your business grow.

✨ Plus, for anyone who buys a website in March, I’m including 4 blog posts to help drive traffic to your new site!

If you’re still thinking about a website, let’s turn that into action. DM me to chat about how we can make it happen!

Ever tried putting together a puzzle without looking at the picture on the box? That’s what marketing without a strategy feels like. You have all these scattered pieces - social media, email marketing, content creation, ads - but without a clear plan, they don’t quite fit together.

Some business owners try forcing pieces where they don’t belong, hoping that posting everywhere will bring results. Others give up halfway through, overwhelmed by the mess in front of them. And then there are those who just keep adding more and more pieces, thinking that more is better - when really, they just need to step back and see the bigger picture.

A great marketing strategy is like having the puzzle box lid in front of you. It gives you a clear vision of where you're going, helps you place the right pieces in the right spots, and makes the process way less frustrating.

So, ask yourself:
🧩 Do you have all the right pieces for your marketing?
🧩 Are they fitting together to create a clear, cohesive strategy?
🧩 Or are you just hoping the picture forms on its own?
🧩 Maybe you are not even sure you know what pieces make up your marketing strategy?

Let’s stop guessing and start putting the right pieces in place.

What’s the piece you feel is missing in your marketing puzzle?

Anne was doing all the things - posting on Instagram, sending emails (sometimes), trying to figure out SEO, dabbling in ads… and yet, her business wasn’t growing the way she wanted.

She was exhausted.
She felt like she was throwing spaghetti at the wall.
And worst of all? She had no idea what was actually working.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. So many business owners believe that doing more = better results, but the truth is, marketing only works when it’s focused.

Here’s how I helped Anne simplify her marketing strategy—and how you can too:

🚀 Step 1: Get Clear on Your Goal
Instead of trying to be everywhere and do everything, ask yourself: What’s the ONE thing I want my marketing to achieve?
✔ More leads?
✔ More sales?
✔ More visibility?

For Anne, it was simple: She wanted more leads without spending all day on social media.

🎯 Step 2: Pick 2-3 Core Marketing Activities
Anne was spreading herself thin trying to show up everywhere. Instead, she focused on two things that were already working:
✔ Instagram (where her ideal clients were engaging with her).
✔ Email marketing (to nurture leads and convert them into paying clients).

Everything else? She let it go.

⚡ Step 3: Create a Repeatable System
Marketing feels overwhelming when you’re constantly starting from scratch. So Anne:
✔ Batched her content 1-2 weeks in advance.
✔ Used templates to speed up content creation.
✔ Set up simple automation for emails and follow-ups.

Less time spent, better results.

📊 Step 4: Track What’s Working & Adjust
Every week, Anne looked at:

✔ Which posts got engagement?
✔ How many people joined her email list?
✔ What actually led to sales?

By tracking what worked, she stopped guessing and started refining.

💰 The Results? More Leads, Less Stress.
Anne went from marketing chaos to clarity - without working harder. She finally had a strategy that worked for her instead of one that drained her energy.

👉 Marketing doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. You just need a simple, focused plan that aligns with your business.

𝗕𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁… 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳? 👀

We all have that task—the one that’s been sitting on our to-do list for weeks (or let’s be real, months). Maybe it’s finally updating your website, setting up that email list, or being consistent with social media.

Sometimes it’s because we’re too busy. Other times, it’s because the task feels too big, too techy, or just overwhelming. But here’s the thing - putting it off won’t make it any easier.

I will be honest, for me I put off doing anything for my own business, I find it so much easier to work in other businesses... But because I am the one with the final say, I find myself avoiding these tasks the most, CRAZY RIGHT!?!?

So, let’s talk! Drop your “I’ve been meaning to…” task in the comments, and I’ll share a quick tip to help you finally get it done. Because marketing doesn’t have to feel like a never-ending to-do list - it just needs a plan. 💡

Your kitchen looks like a crime scene from some popular crime show.
There is spaghetti all over the floor. The red sauce is coating every surface, cupboard, wall, roof, your kids and even your dogs are eating the spaghetti off the floor.

But all you can see is your businesses marketing strategies thrown out into the universe hoping something sticks but instead, here they are lying on the floor waiting to end up in the bin or be eaten by your dog, because the spaghetti didn't stick.

The answer is pretty simple too actually, you need a digital marketing plan.

But where to start?

Well I have two options for you.

Doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

If you don’t know what worked or didn't work last year, and you do the same thing again, what makes you think that this year you will see better results?
