🎉 Exciting Milestone Achieved: GippsSAFE Becomes a DISP Member! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce that GippsSAFE is now a certified member of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) — a prestigious and highly selective program run by the Australian Department of Defence.

Last week, Kate and Mariana from the GippsSAFE Security team attended the Veteran Employment Program workshop, “Expanding Your Veteran Employment Commitment,” at Australian Catholic University in Melbourne.

The interactive session shared valuable insights and best practices for creating and strengthening veteran-inclusive workplaces. It was inspiring to hear directly from veterans about their transition into civilian employment and the support that made a difference along the way.

✨💪Upskilling in Action at GippsSAFE Security! 💪✨

Last week, the team partnered with TAFE Gippsland to participate in a 4-day Batons and Handcuffs course at the Newborough campus.

These defensive tactics—normally integrated into the Certificate III in Security Operations—were offered to our Officers to enhance their skills and provide them with additional escalation options. We’re proud to say the team did an outstanding job and are now fully qualified to carry and use batons and handcuffs on approved sites and in authorised roles.

At GippsSAFE, we believe in keeping our team safe and prepared for every situation.
