Tania Fitzsimons travelled the world as a flight attendant, yet she discovered the career opportunity of a lifetime right in her backyard. This humble hard worker was drawn to Maverick Bio for our mission to save lives. In less than two years, Tania went from Production Operator to Regional Production Manager for Queensland. Now, she’s making a real global impact right from the heart of Regional Australia.

“COVID forced me to go back to work, but saving lives makes me stay,” Tania says. “I’m always happy to come to work because our work matters. The people are fantastic, and it’s a wonderful company. Are you ready for a rewarding career that helps save and improve lives?

Nikki Allwell wasn’t looking for a job when she first heard about Maverick Bio. She was already busy raising a family and working on her family farm. Yet, Nikki was ready for something more, and saw a Production Worker role at our Tamworth site as a great way to get back into the workforce. Our people are our top priority here at Maverick Bio and in our latest company wide employee experience survey, this was our highest ranking result.

With a 90% participation rate, our people wanted to have their say and give feedback into their experiences at work.

However for Maverick Bio, it's not just about running a survey and putting it in a draw. Over the next 4-6 weeks all our employees will participate in a team workshop to review their own teams results and come up with specific action plans to make a difference.

Why? Because no one knows better than our people. And giving them the opportunity to express their opinions and share their honest feedback will only strengthen our organisation.

We’ll use the findings to identify areas of improvement so we can continue to be a fantastic place to work.

Dylan Pope was fresh out of uni when he joined as a Production Technician. This driven young chemist quickly identified our need for greater research and development, and pitched a proposal to Maverick Bio’s executive team - creating his dream role in the process.
