We are hiring!!

We are looking for the right person to join our team at our wholesale plant nursery. We specialise in Native Grasses and Bush Tucker on Bundgalung Country in Dungay NSW.

We are seeking:
🍃Casual position two days per week.

🍃The role requires someone to assist in preparation of orders on Tuesday and make deliveries to GC and Brisbane areas on Wednesday.

🍃Must be able to drive manual and tow trailer competently.

🍃Role also requires someone to assist in maintenance work around the Nursery and property such as whipper snipping, mowing, w**d management.

🍃Opportunities to assist in landscaping jobs in Education facilities.

🍃We value a team who is reliable, competent, respectful and thrives working in the outdoors.

🍃Horticultural experience is preferred however not necessary.

*Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with knowledge and experience are encouraged to apply.

Long time no post!!! We are very much alive and kicking goals here at Aralumbin. We have been focusing our time and energy behind the scenes on some exciting new projects coming up this year. Some collaborations and some new infrastructure we are putting into the nursery. Watch this space… Today however, we are talking waste. Waste of plants that ordinarily couldn’t sell due to their size,condition, colouring etc. Here at Aralumbin we re-purpose and try and bring these plants back to life with time, effort, fresh soil and some food. Where these plants in a few months time will be thriving and looking for their new home!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at Aralumbin. We honestly thank everyone who has supported us this year. It has been tumultuous to say the least both in business and personally. We have made it to the end of the second year of business so that’s a milestone in itself. We couldn’t have done it without the support from everyone so we warmly thank you all. We will be closed from Monday the 23 December through till 6 January where we look forward to a prosperous 2025!!!! Stay safe, happy and healthy x

These little birds need your help. They are becoming more and more rare due to the lack of bird attracting plants that are being planted in our gardens. These are really delightful to watch flitter through your shrubs and tapping at your windows. The blue wren is also our little ones totem. He watches over him and keeps a gentle eye.

It was the boss’s birthday yesterday, so naturally we took some time at our fav beach spot to pick the through the bush Tucker and grab a wave 🌊 We spotted Midyim Berry, Dianella, Lomandra Hystrix. The kids are getting great at spotting and correcting us now!

Quick before and after transformation . Another area where it was a little tired and where the grass was struggling! Throw in some pavers, edging and cracker dust and this fills the gap between two spaces, making it interesting and functional.

Finishing touches to the Bush Tucker Garden at the Community Preschool. Signs are from Edible Eden Designs with cultivation notes and traditional uses. Symbols are used to help children identify what the plants do and how they are used.
