This time last year, as we launched our very first Stained Glass Art Retreat, we wondered if we would fill the places… and we did.

Fast forward one year and our second retreat weekend is already fully booked! 💫 Thank you to everyone who has joined us on this creative journey.

It's a wrens and butterflies kind of Day in the Leadlight of Day studio today. Looking out of my studio window I am also watching the wrens skitter between the gardens and the butterflies checking out the flowers.

Join us for a Beginners Stained-Glass Art Retreat at Fosterton Retreat, 26-28 June 2026, and immerse yourself in a creative, hands-on weekend.

You'll learn all the essential skills - from cutting glass and foiling to soldering - and by the end of the retreat you will have created at least two pieces to take home.

Everything is provided, so you can simply relax and enjoy the process. Starter kits will also be available if you'd like to continue your stained glass journey at home. No experience needed. Participants must be over 18. Bring a friend or 2 and make a weekend of it. Places are limited so reserve your spot soon.

This month I’ve been a little distracted… with the arrival of my first granddaughter 💕 and I am completely besotted.
Despite that, quite a few pieces have made their way out of the studio in recent weeks — including around 80 Christmas trees! Some are grouped in fives on driftwood (perfect for a table or windowsill), some are hanging, others are mounted on blocks of silky oak from my garden, and just for fun I made a batch of tiny minis too.
The trees have been incredibly popular. One order alone was for 30 individual trees, gifted by a client to their customers across Asia.
So now my glass has found international homes in the UK, USA, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, China, and there’s even a piece about to travel to Norway.
