The question is asked all the time. "Will unregistered providers have to become registered" or "it isn't fair that we have to do all this compliance work and unregistered providers don't have to". I also hear "they are unregistered so they can do (and charge) whatever they want. There is a consultation paper out now, so it is time for you to have your say

The site lists consultations that are run by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. On this site you can find, share or take part in consultations.

Albury/Wodonga Region

M&C are running a trifecta of courses in January that includes
- Medication
- First Aid
- CPR

The First Aid and CPR include an online component that must be completed prior to the face training and assessment.

As per the regulatory requirement, the assessment component must be conducted face to face which will occur in Albury, over one day (with the medication training).

If you, or your service would like more information about the cost, dates etc. then comment 'interested' in the comments section or direct message me to provide more details.

NSW!! The Community Services Industry Business lookup tool is now live! This tool makes it easy for workers to check if an employer is registered under the scheme.
This helps ensure eligibility for the Foundation Worker Bonus and supports greater transparency and awareness of long service leave entitlements across the sector.
You can search for an employer by business name or ABN. If an employer doesn't appear in the list, we recommend contacting them directly to confirm their registration status.
The lookup database is refreshed twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, so check back regularly for the most up-to-date information.

Search for employers registered in the Community Services Industry long service leave scheme by using the following lookup tool.

Now confirmed- mandatory registration for SIL and Platform Providers, commencing 1st July 2026

Mandatory registration for supported independent living (SIL) and platform providers will start on 1 July 2026.

This change will strengthen oversight and ensure providers are accountable for meeting quality and safety standards. Registered providers must pass audits, suitability assessments, and comply with strict worker screening and incident reporting requirements.

This announcement follows extensive consultation and aligns with recommendations from the NDIS Review, Disability Royal Commission, NDIS Provider and Worker Registration Taskforce, and the NDIS Commission’s Own Motion Inquiries.

We will share guidance on transition arrangements in early 2026, giving providers time to prepare while maintaining continuity of support.
