BSR Estimating Helping collision repair businesses save time, reduce errors, and boost profits with expert remote estimating and consulting solutions.

After running successful body shops since the early 90's and being a director of the Car Craft group I have gained a lot of experience in the accident repair industry and I am well respected and known in WA. I am now using my valuable skills and expertise for consulting to others in the industry. I can help improve your body shop, profits, management of staff and customers. Leaving you with valuable time to focus on your family and life style. I can help with sourcing staff from overseas, estimating, estimator training, estimate & invoice checking service, systems and procedures, filling in for estimating and management staff while on leave, business over views and even setting up new businesses or help revamp your old shop.

What would you do with 20 hours back a week?

That's roughly what shop owners tell us they get back once estimating's properly off their plate. Not just quotes done faster, actual time to work on the business instead of just in it.

We wrote more on this: bsrestimating.com/what-would-you-do-with-20-hours-back-every-week

Most repairers see remote estimators as people who simply prepare quotes. At BSR, it is much more than estimating.

Do you actually know what your shop's hourly rate should be?

Most bodyshop owners don't, and we wrote a whole piece on why that one gap can cost hundreds of thousands in lost revenue a year. Not trying to scare you, just trying to get you to check.

Read it here: bsrestimating.com/do-you-really-know-your-hourly-rate

Most bodyshop owners don't truly know what their shop hourly rate should be. This simple mistake can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost revenue every year.

Quick truth bomb: a completed repair isn't a paid repair. The gap between a car rolling out of the wash bay and someone actually hitting "invoice" is where a lot of shops quietly lose money โ€” parts that don't match what was quoted, extra work that never got supplemented, hours that slip through. That's the exact gap BSR Workflow was built to close. See how it works: bsrestimating.com/workflow

Ever wondered what a day looks like inside a Virtual Estimating team?
Our team is writing $1M+ in estimates every single day.

Not a typo. Not a slow news day. Just a typical busy day at BSR. ๐Ÿ‘€

Interesting seasonal pattern flagged in this issue's parts data โ€” May typically runs about 10% above the average month for collision work, and December sits around 28% below.

Pretty consistent year on year too. Worth factoring into how you plan staffing and estimating capacity rather than just reacting when the quiet month hits.

Does your workshop feel that same seasonal swing?

PartsCheck just published their first national parts report, and the Chinese-brand numbers are wild!

Those brands went from 0.9% of ordered parts lines to nearly 8% in the space of five years, with 9 of the 15 Chinese brands now on the market landing in just the last 14 months. The vehicle mix on your ramp is changing faster than most of us clocked.

Noticing more Chinese-brand jobs coming through lately?

๐Ÿšจ Introducing BSR Workflow!

A repair can be finished without being fully accounted for.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Extra repairs
๐Ÿ‘‰ Labour changes
๐Ÿ‘‰ Parts
๐Ÿ‘‰ Supplements

Things can get missed between โ€œjob completeโ€ and โ€œinvoice sent.โ€
Thatโ€™s why we built BSR Workflow.
Purpose-built for collision repairers to make sure every job is checked before itโ€™s invoiced.
More completed work becomes paid work.

And for BSR Virtual Estimating clients, Workflow is included at no extra cost. ๐Ÿคฉ

WRC Collision was our first client in New Zealand.

Taking what we'd built in Australia into a new market was a big step for us โ€” and having a workshop willing to be one of the first to give it a go meant a lot.

Now, the first NZ site is up and running well.

Hereโ€™s what WRC had to say about their experience.

Spray gun cleaning used to be a proper manual job. Painters cleaning guns in sinks, solvent going straight down the drain, zero thought given to safety or the environment.

Nearly 50 years on, most of that's automated and enclosed. Makes you wonder what today's "normal" workshop process looks laughably outdated in 50 years' time.

What current shop process do you reckon we'll all be laughing about in 50 years?
